Heart Rhythm Society Member Kick-Off Wednesday,
February 23rd, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Minneapolis Club
Minnesota members of the Heart Rhythm Society will gather for the official
launch of the It’s About Time campaign promoting awareness for Sudden
Cardiac Arrest. The evening will begin with a welcome from James Youngblood,
Chief Executive Officer of the Heart Rhythm Society, and will include an overview of the
campaign by Robert Hauser, M.D., Chairman of the Heart Rhythm Foundation, and a
presentation by Stephen Hammill, M.D., Director Heart Rhythm Services at the
Mayo Clinic, entitled Medicare Changes for ICDs: Coverage, MD Certification,
Linking Payment to Registry Participation.

Senior executives from leading Minnesota companies will join Robert Hauser,
M.D., Chairman of the Heart Rhythm Foundation to learn more about Sudden Cardiac
Arrest and how they may lend their support to this effort. As prominent and
influential business leaders, the Foundation enlists their support to raise
awareness for this important cause throughout their communities and among their
employees.

The St. Paul Women's Expo is a two-day event created especially for women.
The Heart Rhythm Foundation will exhibit featuring the It’s About Time
campaign and its Sudden Cardiac Arrest Risk Assessment. It has been reported
that woman make up to 75% of all healthcare decisions. The Foundation aims to
ensure that women know the facts of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and have the tools to
make the most informed decisions possible.
It’s About Time: Campaign Launch Saturday, April 2,
11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Mall of America Sears Court
The official public launch of the It’s About Time campaign will
incorporate a variety of activities including free risk assessment surveys
onsite, Sudden Cardiac Arrest education, survivor stories, a heart facts trivia
game, automated external defibrillator (AED) demonstrations, local jazz music
and more.
